December 1 is World Kindertransport Day, honoring the 82nd Anniversary of the first Kindertransport arriving in Great Britain. The Kindertransports brought almost 10,000 children fleeing the Nazis from their homes in Germany, Austria, Poland, and Czechoslovakia to the safety of England and foster homes.
